“As an Army child, sometimes we lived in barracks. I remember using the verandahs that spanned the front, as canvas. The inspiration being Amar Chitra Katha, all the beautiful queens and princesses on the pages and their stunning costumes! My father helped me align my career in Design and I saw myself at NIFT in 1989! Boom!”

“Garment business in our country is a crisis solving exercise. 90’s were the days of telex and faxes, export segment was booming in an organic way and taught us commitment, communication, quality and little jugaad. This stint set the base for my run as an entrepreneur."

Starts her journey as Senior Faculty National Institute of Fashion Technology.
Continues more than a decade as a lecturer of Draping for Fashion Design and History of Indian Costumes at NIFT, Kolkata and thereafter NIFT Bangalore.
Is a Senior visiting Guest Faculty School of Fashion Technology, Pune.
Continues her interaction with the Govt of India.

First entrepreneurial venture FRENCHCURVE is the start point of a dream run. The labels from
this proprietorship firm can be spotted in the most prestigious design stores in the country.
Anjali embraces a commitment to quality and excellence, and showcases Indian craft-inspired clothing at the United Nations General Assembly, NYC, via SHETRADES (a women centric agency by the UN and World Trade Organization), 2014.

One of 12 entrepreneurs selected worldwide to participate in a design project with UAL, London and The Parsons School of Design, NYC.
Is part of USTTAD (Upgrading the Skills and Training in Traditional Arts Crafts for Development) and spearheads a craft revival initiative focused on the exquisite art of 'Tilla' in the beautiful lands of Kashmir, with the craft cluster in Ganderbal. This initiative is a collaborative between NIFT and the Government of India, 2018.

Anjali co-founds BCI Pvt Ltd, and CHHOTABACCHA is introduced in 2019.
Is one of 100 Women Transforming India, Govt of India, Niti Aayog, 2019.
Successfully completes Independent Director’s program, focusing her dissertation on ‘The Art of Sustainability’, 2020.
Volunteers as a COVID warrior during complete lockdowns, with the Govt of Karnataka, 2020.
FRENCHCURVE is sold in 2021.
