And if the little feet are clad in little baby shoes!
It was just one of those days when everything needs extra attention. Aarya loved one of the gifts that someone had gifted her - baby cotton shoes. Besides sucking on them because sucking her toes was the favourite past time those early days, Aarya would hold them while sleeping!!
One particular beautiful sunny day I remember, that day was turning out to be more adventurous. My little Aarya and I were going out to her birth mate’s birthday party. You see Aarya’s mum and I were roomies in the Hospi while we were in labour and after that, we’ve been buddies. We exchange notes on feeding ritual and sleepless nights and losing some weight! Of course, that time we had no idea if it was going to be Aarya haha!
So yes, we had gone out dressed in our nicest clothing, me in a one-piece Jumper and Aarya in a romper. We were what the world calls it - twinning! And how!
Mind you, Aarya is happily chubby. And loves to wiggle in my lap. And the snaps in Aarya’s romper just kept popping. No matter what we did, they wouldn’t stay in place. Not that she was bothered. She had her favourite baby cotton shoes on and that was her comfort factor! By the end of the day, we had cake on her romper, her shoes, her hands, not to miss her hair arghhhh.
My baccha means the world to me. Just like every other new age mama, I don’t believe in Nazar and all the other mom-type superstitions. But then you know what happens to us mums once we become mums…anything that ensures a good nights sleep is a go-to. Her favourite shoes I speak about are at www.chhotabaccha.com. These booties already have a small Nazar Battu embroidered under the sole. And does it give me a little comfort in my heart! Though I can't promise we get a great sleep now, but I do promise we do look the best when we are together!
